The All-on-4 procedure typically involves the use of anesthesia to ensure you are comfortable throughout the process. The surgeon will make incisions in the gums and place implants into the jawbone. A temporary bridge or provisional teeth may be attached to the implants
Aftercare and Healing:
After the procedure, some swelling and bruising are common. Over-the-counter pain medication can help manage any discomfort. It is important to avoid placing pressure on the implants for about six weeks to allow them to heal and fuse with the jawbone. During this time, a soft food diet is recommended.
Follow-Up and Final Steps:
A follow-up visit will be scheduled, during which the temporary teeth may be removed and the permanent teeth attached to the implants. Your dentist will provide specific aftercare instructions, including when you can resume your normal diet.
